Adam is the owner of Core Counseling.  His main focus is to help one understand the root of the problem and work towards healing.  The focus of his model as a counselor is to provide a safe and warm environment.  He feels it is not just about changing behaviors, it is about providing you with approaches so you can feel better on a more permanent level.  Adam has advanced training in Psychodynamic Therapy, EMDR (Level I & II), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness and meditation. He has the most experience in treating Acute and Chronic Trauma, PTSD, Anxiety Disorders, Mood Disorders, Depression, Addictions, and Behavioral and Social issues.

Kimberly wants to help you navigate everyday life with more balance and your relationships with increased harmony. Bringing an inclusive approach to all clients, especially high-achieving professionals, BIPOC, and LGBTQ communities, Kimberly spent the last five years practicing as a telehealth counselor in Louisiana and a year in New Jersey.

Kimberly’s eclectic approach focuses on strategies that align with the client’s needs. She uses such techniques as CBT, somatic therapy, mindfulness, and EFT when working with couples. Her Ph.D. in Communication Studies and over two decades as a professor/scholar also inform this work.
Kimberly works with individuals, couples, and families who experience a range of challenges, including trauma/PTSD, relationship difficulties, grief/loss, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. She is passionate about creating a safe environment where she and clients work together, building a collectivist therapeutic space.

Melissa has been working as a counselor for 15 years. Prior to joining Core Counseling in 2018, she gained valuable experience working for 9 years in community mental health.   Through her years of practice, Melissa has learned the importance of offering an accepting and empowering space that allows her clients to gain the understanding and healing that fosters change. 

Melissa is well versed in treating complex trauma, anxiety disorders,mood disorders, depression, relationship/family issues and works with clients aged 18 and up as well as couples. She is trained  in several modalities of treatment including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy(CBT), Mindfulness, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR Level I and II). She has also received training in somatic interventions and has integrated this into her approach with clients.
